REFRACTIVE INDEX/ABBE NUMBER

ZEONEX COP has a refractive index similar to glass. The refractive index is significantly lower than Polycarbonate (PC). The ABBE number is similar to PMMA.

LIGHT TRANSMITTANCE

ZEONEX COP resins have superior light transmission from 300-1200nm, as compared to PC and PMMA.

Low Birefringence

ZEONEX COP resins have 1/3 less birefringence as compared to polycarbonate(PC). The Photoelastic coefficient is ~5x10-13 cm 2/dyne.

LOW WATER ABSORPTION

ZEONEX has <0.01% water absorption - much less than PC and PMMA. ZEONEX parts are dimensionally stable and show minimal surface aberration in varying environmental conditions.
